Red Hot Chili Peppers announce New Zealand show

Legendary US rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to Auckland for a one-off show in March 2019.

It will have been six years since the California-based band last played in Auckland when they step on stage at Spark Arena on March 8.

"We can't wait to see all our fans in Australia and New Zealand - it has been too long," Red Hot Chili Peppers said in a statement.

The band has been busy in that time, and after sold-out US and European tours during 2017 and 2018, the Peppers most recently undertook three massive headline shows at Lollapalooza South America.

Live Nation says the band is expected to play a set comprising of new and old favourites from their massive back catalogue.

Tickets for all shows will go on general sale at midday on Monday, November 26.
