Rap group SWIDT, Lorde lead NZ Music Awards nominations

The Vodafone New Zealand Music Award finalists have been announced.

Auckland rap crew SWIDT has bagged six nominations for the next month's awards.

The Onehunga group is up for the Best Album of the Year, but they've got some tough competition. 

Lorde performs on the Coachella Stage during day three of the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival

Global superstar Lorde will return home and perform live in the middle of her Melodrama world tour, she's also in the running for five awards. 

Rising talent Aldous Harding has received four nominations, including breakthrough artist of the year.
