Mumford & Sons announce New Zealand 'festival style' concert

Indie-folk hitmakers Mumford & Sons announced today they will be performing a one-off show in New Zealand early next year.

The Brits are launching a 60-date worldwide tour to promote new album Delta, which is set for release next month.

They'll be bringing their banjos and mandolins to Auckland's Western Springs on Saturday, 12 January. Promoters are promising a "festival style show" that will also include performances by Leon Bridges, Michael Kiwanuka, Angie McMahon and Sam Fender.

It will mark the group's first performance in New Zealand since 2015,

Mumford & Son blasted onto the charts in 2009 with album Sigh No More, which featured hit song Little Lion Man.

Tickets for the show go on sale next Friday.
