Marlon Williams has won the 2018 APRA Silver Scroll Award for his song Nobody Gets What They Want Anymore.
Williams wrote the melancholy ballad himself and was picked as one of the strongest contenders for the honour before the show tonight.
He was joined on the track by 2017 APRA Silver Scroll finalist Aldous Harding, who also provided vocals.
Earlier in the night Te Ahi Kai Pō won the Maioha Award for exceptional waiata, Micheal Norris won the SOUNZ Award for contemporary composition, Cleverman won Best Original Music in a Series and McLaren won Best Original Music in a Film.
