Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell wins posthumous Grammy

February 11, 2019

Late Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has won a posthumous Grammy Award for his single When Bad Does Good, released last year.

The award for best rock performance, Cornell's third Grammy win, was accepted by two of his children at today's ceremony.

It follows a tribute last month featuring a bevy of performers, including Cornell's Audioslave bandmates, Metallica, Foo Fighters and Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

The 52-year-old, an icon of Seattle's grunge scene, committed suicide in May 2017.
