Kiwi comedian Rhys Darby has been cast in the sequel of classic children's film Jumanji.
Darby has been given the role of Nigel, in the update of the 1995 film that starred Robin Williams, according to a report from Deadline.
He'll join the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Nick Jonas on the set.
"So excited to share this with you guys!" Darby tweeted with a link to a report about the casting.
Darby rose to fame playing bumbling manager Murray in HBO series Flight of the Conchords and has made a series of appearance in quirky roles, including in hit Kiwi film What We Do in the Shadows and the most recent series of The X-Files.
The new Jumanji film is currently shooting in Hawaii and is slated for release in 2017.
