John Key is the latest victim of US chat show host John Oliver's comedic wrath - with the Prime Minister's plans to hold a referendum over the New Zealand flag turned into funny fodder.
The Last Week Tonight funnyman was highly entertained by Mr Key's admission during a radio interview that he's sick of getting sat at the Australian table at official events because their flag looks so similar to New Zealand's.
"It's not funny, it happens all the time," said Mr Key during the interview.
However, Mr Oliver, disagreed: "Oh, It is funny and that's why it happens all the time."
The broad New Zealand accent was also mocked, particularly our pronunciation of "flag" as "fleg" " and "2015" as "two-thousand and fufteen".
It's not the first time the comedian has taken aim at New Zealand news.
The National Party, after they got into trouble earlier in the year for ripping off a song by Eminem for an election campaign ad.
