Thirty-five years on and Arnie is holding true to his word, returning once again as the imposing muscle-bound android in Terminator: Dark Fate - the sixth movie in the franchise, and the actor's fifth.
Today, Paramount released the first trailer for the film, which also features the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor.
The movie - which disregards the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Salvation,Terminator Genisy - is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day and sees Connor and Arnie's T-800 model face off against a modified liquid metal Terminator sent back in time by Skynet to alter the past.
Deadpool director Tim Miller helms, with James Cameron, director of the first two films, serving as producer.
Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta and is set for release in November.
