Anika Moa to unleash new show that's a cross between 'Kath and Kim and Oprah' for TVNZ OnDemand

Anika Moa will be invading the homes of high-profile Kiwis in her new TVNZ OnDemand show Anika Moa Unleashed.

Speaking to TVNZ1's Breakfast host Jack Tame this morning, the bubbly singer outlined the premise of her new project.

"I go into their houses and interview them, because that's my specialty, then eat their food and dance with them. I had a karaoke off with Paula Bennett and Sam Neill.

"We just do lots and lots of fun things," Moa said.

When Tame asked how she got involved in TV after her illustrious singing career, Moa gave a typically honest answer.

"I have always wanted to be an actor but I can't act."

The show, which Moa says is like a cross between Kath and Kim and Oprah, will be available from 12pm on TVNZ OnDemand today.
