There have been plenty of doubters along the way, but Six 60's rise to the top of the New Zealand music scene is continuing with confirmation their latest album is the biggest local selling release in 2015.
Six 60 (2) edged out two Sol3 Mio releases - On Another Note and Sol3 Mio - for the title of Top Selling New Zealand Album of 2015.
Along with their deal with Capital Records, it shows the Kiwi five-piece are going from strength to strength.
"It's funny, we weren't nervous about this album, we really believed in it," bass player Chris Mac says.
"We had some people tell us that it wasn't so good, but we stuck to our guns, we did what we knew was right and what we knew was us."
Despite being released a matter of months ago, Adele's 25 was named the biggest selling album overall, ahead of Ed Sheeran's X.
"I think every single person in the country has a copy of that record," says Damian Vaughan of Recorded Music NZ of 25.
"That's the big story this year, it's only been out four weeks and it's already six times platinum, it's a massive, massive seller."
Six 60 (2) was fourth on the overall list.
Uptown Funk, by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, was the top selling single, while Freaks by Timmy Trumpet and Savage was the top New Zealand single.
