'We can knock Joseph Parker out,' says Aussie boxing legend Jeff Fenech

Bowie Tupou's well renowned boxing trainer Jeff Fenech believes his fighter has the ability to knock out Joseph Parker in their August bout in Invercargill.

An Australian boxer of Tongan descent, Tupou is ranked 13th in the WBO and holds the WBO African title.

"If we prepare properly and he knows he has done the work I am going to be very confident that we can cause a huge upset and we can knock Joseph Parker out," said Fenech.

Fenech is a three-time former world champion and previously trained Mike Tyson.

"I believe at 120 kilos that he will hopefully come in at, he'll be very dangerous and he's going to give Joesph Parker a lot of Problems," he said.

"In the heavyweight division if you are healthy and fit anything can happen."

The 32-year-old Tupou is confident that his fight with Parker will have fireworks.

"I'm going to go in there and do my thing and if the left hook comes the left hook comes. And if the right hand comes the right hand comes," he said.

"When the opportunity comes it comes, I'm not going in there and looking for a knock out," said Tupou.

Tupou holds a record of 25-3 since 2006 and could be one of Parker's toughest opponents yet.
