Police are in attendance at a sudden death in Henderson, Auckland.

Police say at around 12.50pm today they received a call from a member of the public who located a body in a stream in Henderson.

A cordon is in place on Cranwell Street opposite The Boundary mall in Henderson.

Police have pulled up a tarpaulin to cover the body before taking it away.

An investigation is underway and the matter will be referred to the Coroner.
